Accessibility Information for the Wayfarers Shopping Arcade
We have been welcoming a wide range of visitors to the Wayfarers Arcade throughout its history and we are proud to try and help ensure that it remains enjoyable and as accessible as possible, given the challenges of its Grade II listed status.
The main entrance from Lord Street is very wide and flat, making an ideal access point for all visitors and we have invested in a disabled toilet and baby change facilities that the caretakers or any of the shop assistants within the Arcade would be glad to help visitors to access.
A lift is available to take visitors up to the balcony level, if that is easier for them than the grand sweeping staircase at the rear of the Arcade, and many visitors comment on how especially easy the Pudding and Pie café patio area in the centre of the Arcade is to access using wheelchairs, buggies or prams.
Access to the Arcade can also be gained via automatic doors leading from the adjacent Beales department store.
